Avalon

Avalon is considered a contemporary Christian quartet with many gold records and over four million albums sold.  Grant Cunningham from Sparrow Records began his search in 1985 for members he planned to recruit for the group Avalon.  Michael Passons and Jana Potter (Long) were the first members of the group. Rikk Kittleman and Tabitha Fair soon joined but both left before the group had any real success for other opportunities.  They were replaced by Jody McBrayer and Nikki Hassman Anders.

Most of us remember Nikki on the cover of the “A Maze of Grace” album that was released in 1997. She left the group for a solo career in 1998.

When Nikki Hassman Anders left Avalon she was replaced with Cherie Paliotta Adams who eventually decided to pursue another ministry and left the group a few years later.

Jody McBrayer who was with Avalon until 2007 decided that recording music with the group was no longer an option due to health problems.

Current members of Avalon are Greg and Jana Long, Melissa Greene (2009) and Jeremi Richardson who replaced McBrayer.  They are still performing and recording beautiful music as a group.
